Kulim Technology Park Corporation Sdn. Bhd (KTPC) is in the process of obtaining the approval from the Federal Government for their expansion of industrial zone. It is estimated that this additional 500 acres of land would enable the opening of more hi-technology industries and as continuation of the existing Industrial Zones. Industrial Zone Phase 5 is set to be acquired following an overwhelming demand from the investors who are keen to establish their operations here. This new phase will be crafted into some basic components, whereby it comprises of 370 acres, 66 acres allocated for Utilities, and the rest (64 acres) would be laid as the green area.

With an area of 1,795 hectares (4,438 acres) in total since its inception in 1996, KTPC foresees future potential growth and expansion is definitely inevitable. KHTP has always been a preferred choice to investors, and obviously that is our prime Vision.  In realizing this vision, KTPC has taken a bold step towards 2nd Master Plan, steered by its dedicated professional teams, by establishing a strategic plan in making the right demographic and investor-friendly environment that suits the needs of the investors.

As one of the frontrunners in the very competitive world of Hi-Technology Industrial Park, KHTP had proven its mettle and had firmly established its stature. With extensive infrastructures such as ample supply of clean water, a very good dedicated power supply with zero blackout incidents, a very well-organized logistics and infrastructure systems, CCTV systems, and land acquisition processes, had been the key factors to convince the multinationals and home-grown technologies-based companies to invest in KHTP. From time to time, improvements are made to accommodate the needs of these investors.

The development of soft and symbiotic park environment over in KHTP had further emphasizes the difference between KHTP and other ordinary industrial estates. This factor have further enable KHTP to meet the demands of company and its workers for a location that is fit for work lifestyle and play. By conserving nature, workers, residence and visitors to KHTP are rewarded with is sustainable eco system.

Multinationals had been bold in choosing KHTP as a place to invest in, with investment reaching RM39 billion / USD 10.6 billion to date. Such big names from more than 30 companies that includes Intel Products, First Solar, Infineon Technologies, Osram Opto Semiconductors, Panasonic Energy, Fuji Electric, Silterra etc. This only shows KHTPs ability to fulfill investors needs to build up their factories here.

Request upon request for more land from the investors, whether it is from promoted or even from non-promoted sectors are on the rise. However, to maintain its credibility and status as a hi-technology industrial park, KTPC Sdn. Bhd had to be firmed when selecting the right industries to be in KHTP. It is hoped that this 500 acres expansion could not only meet the demand for the next 10 years, but it could also path the way for a much more business opportunities in KHTP.
