Anticipating high demand for technical and skilled workers in different industries for Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kulim Technology Park Corporation (KTPC) has been searching for the right education provider that would begin preparing high school students from the early stages to fulfill ever-increasing opportunities in the high-tech industry.
In this regard, a vocational and technical college is seen as a perfect fit to produce students who can be easily absorbed in various sectors of the high-tech industry. For example, the solar and renewable energy sector, or the medical devices sector.
In-Fusion Solutions Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian home-grown company founded in 2002, has certainly stepped in the picture at the right time to fill up this void as they would now operate a Voc-Tec College in Kulim Hi-Tech Park starting 2013.
Initial student intake is estimated at 250 and they will be provided by the Malaysian Education Ministry (Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia). These students will be shortlisted by the Ministry after their Form 3 or Penilaian Menengah Rendah examinations (PMR) which is equivalent to the Junior High School level.
Primary focus would be placed on the industrial sectors that are urgently required by especially the industrial tenants in the Kulim Hi-Tech Park, as well as those in the Northern Corridor Economic Region.
In-Fusion Solutions (IFSSB) has recently signed a Tenancy Agreement with Kulim Technology Park Corporation for the rental of the entire IT Centre property.
